Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners provide sensitive health care to victims of sexual assault.
Rose Heart Inc. offers the services of trained, experienced S.A.N.E. parishioners, who provide thorough and professional forensic evidence collection, documentation and preservation of evidence in a timely manner.
Our objectives are:
- strive to protect the victim from further harm.
- provide crisis intervention.
- evaluate and treat prophylactically for sexually transmitted diseases (STDs).
- evaluate pregnancy risk and offer prevention.
- assess, document, and seek care for injuries.
- to refer victims for immediate and follow-up care and counseling.
- to enhance the ability of law enforcement agencies in obtaining evidence for prosecution of sexual assault cases.
